Innovative Work and Innovative Lesson Plan

I have done my innovative work based on the chapter 'On Killing A Tree'by the author Gieve Patel.It is the visual representation of the poem.
The poem depicts the survival of a strong tree which refuses to die even when it's trunk and branches have been chopped off. The poet compares the process of cutting down trees to commit an act of murder.The poem conveys the message tgatttrees are just like living beings.

I have done my innovative lesson plan based on the chapter 'The Last Leaf' by the author O.Henry.
I followed the usual pattern of our lesson plan .As an entry activity I distributed some color papers and gave the learners an activity called 'Listen and Draw' and in the step of Introducing the author, I showed the picture of the author and asked the learners to fill in the box with correct information from the answer box.Then in the step of Introducing the lesson,I showed the the animated story version of 'Last Leaf' and asked the learners to watch and listen it carefully. Then introduced the meaning of new words through the use of context clues and for Discourse construction,I distributed some pictures of the story and asked the learners to arrange the events of the story in chronological order and describe each one.As a follow-up activity I showed the two pictures of quotations and asked the learners to relate them to theme of the story.

Weekend Update from 13/01/2020 to 17/01/2020

It was the IXth week of our Teaching Practice. By the last week itself I completed the allotted portions and conducted a test for the students based on the chapters that I have taught.
Yoga class was taken for the students on the topic Tiriyak Tadasana

Thus our 50 days of teaching practice came to an end by 17th January 2020.These days were the most memorable and cherished days in our B.Ed.course.It provided an opportunity to be in real classrooms and to have a good relationship with the students. The students gave their feedback about my class and shared their thoughts with me.
Finally we bid farewell to the students, teachers and the school. Hope to teach them once again if I get an opportunity. It was indeed a great experience for all of us.

Weekend Update from 06/01/2020 to 10/01/2020

It was the IXth week of our Teaching Practice.I completed the chapter Happiness Machine and began to taught the last poem in that unit- A Prayer in Spring by Robert Frost.

As part of our B Ed curriculum we conducted a conscientization programme on the topic Child Rights tiltled A World Without Tears.

There was a capping ceremony for the JRC students during the morning assembly and  also PTA meeting .We had a good discussion with the parents regarding their children's academic performance.It was indeed a great pleasure for us too.

Weekend Update from 30/12/2019 to 04/01/2020

It was the VIIIth week of our Teaching Practice.After the Christmas vacation the school re-opened on 30th december 2019.I taught the rest of the chapter of The Happiness Machine.

There was a talent day and talent search examination.I got the duty of invigilation during the exam time.Students from various schools came for attending the exam.

Weekend Update from 16/11/2019 to 20/11/2019

It was the VIIth week of our Teaching Practice.The exams came to an end by this week and christmas vacation started on 20th december.The school will be re-opening on 30th December 2019.Christmas celebration s were there in some classes and we also joined with them.

It was the VIth week of our Teaching Practice. Christmas exams began on 09th december and had the duty of invigilation in the exam hall.It was a great experience for all of us.

Weekend Update from 02/11/2019 to 06/11/2019

It was the Vth week of our Teaching Practice.I began the Ist chapter HAPPINESS MACHINE of the last unit ENLIGHTENING SOULS. The chapter was about finding happiness within us and the role of open conversation in life.I have already completed the portions for the Christmas exam which is about to begin by next week and made some revisions too.
