It was the VIIth week of our Teaching Practice.The exams came to an end by this week and christmas vacation started on 20th december.The school will be re-opening on 30th December 2019.Christmas celebration s were there in some classes and we also joined with them.

It was the VIth week of our Teaching Practice. Christmas exams began on 09th december and had the duty of invigilation in the exam hall.It was a great experience for all of us.

Weekend Update from 02/11/2019 to 06/11/2019

It was the Vth week of our Teaching Practice.I began the Ist chapter HAPPINESS MACHINE of the last unit ENLIGHTENING SOULS. The chapter was about finding happiness within us and the role of open conversation in life.I have already completed the portions for the Christmas exam which is about to begin by next week and made some revisions too.

Weekend Update from 25/11/2019 to 29/11/2019

It was the IVth week of our Teaching Practice.I completed the chapter THE LAST LEAF  and conducted a Role-Play based on the lesson taught.The students got to know more about the importance of positive thinking,motivation,power of hope and sacrifice in life through the story. After the completion of the story I asked the students to make a story map of the lesson.

   The students who have given their best performances in the school kalolsavam were well appreciated and given a token of appreciation by the teachers,P.T.A members and the school management.Some cultural programmes were also there as part of the meeting.

Weekend Update from 18/11/2019-22/11/2019

It was the 3rd week of our teaching practice.I taught the students the rest of the chapter  THE LAST LEAF and gave them some interesting activities related to the chapter like letter writing,diary,character sketch and also made them to do the activities in the text. Each students were eagerly waiting to know the twist of the story...

Weekend update from 11/11/2019 to 15/11/2019

         It was the second week of our teaching practice.I began a new chapter titled The Last Leaf   by O.Henry.It is the story about the power of hope,friendship,motivation in life.

        Pandala Sub-district school kalolsavam was held @ NSS GHS,Pandalam.It was a 2 day programme and was inaugurated by Pandalam Sivankutty.The students from various schools participated enthusiastically and exhibited their talents in various competetions.

     Teaching is a challenging as well as a rewarding profession. Teachers play a vital role in helping children to acquire knowledge ,skills and also in making the students a better individual.
     Teaching practice is an integral part of teacher training. It grant all the student teachers a variety of experience in actual teaching and learning environment.A student teacher is given the opportunity to try the art of teaching before getting into the real world of teaching profession.
     As part of IV th semester teaching practice, I got the opportunity to teach again the 9th std students of NSSGHS Pandalam.I was really happy to be back with my students.I went to the class and discussed some current issues related to nature and gave a brief introduction to the chapter 'On Killing a Tree'.b y the author Gieve Patel.

School Based Activity

As part of the B.Ed. curriculum ,a School Based Activity was conducted for the students of VIII std on August 17,2019 at N.S.S G.H.S, Pandalam.It was a powerpoint presentation and class on the topic Menstrual Hygiene.

Capacity Building Programme

 As part of the B.Ed. curriculum ,we conducted a Capacity Building Programme for the High School students on the topic Cyber security. A workshop on the topic ,a video presentation along with that a brochure was also distributed among the students. The Headmistress Geetha teacher gave the introductory speech and inaugurated the session.

Quit India Day Celebration

As part of Quit India Day Celebrations, English Association MANTRA of N.S.S. Training College,Pandalam conducted a quiz competition and video presentation on the topic: Quit India Movement and Indian Freedom Struggle for the High School students.Two teams from each class participated in the programme.

Yoga Class

As part of the B.Ed.curriculum a yoga class was taken for the students of VIII std under the guidance of Vinod sir on August 7,2019.The yogasana we demonstrated was Thadasana paschima namaskar.

BOOK REVIEW COMPETITION

           As part of Reading Week Observation ( June 19-25),the English Association MANTRA of N.S.S. Training College,Pandalam conducted a Book Review Competition on July 9 ,2019 for the 8th std students of N.S.S.G.H.S,Pandalam.All the students participated enthusiastically.  The first prize was won by Alfiya Noushad and the second prize by Theertha Raj.
